If you’re on the internet much, you’ve probably seen a lot of people/animal reunions and a lot of them are pretty good. Well here’s one that threw me for a loop and completely changed my thinking on an entire species: geese.
I was thinking that geese are not very smart and just “existed” without much interaction outside their own kind. It turns out that’s not true. “The goose is one of the most intelligent birds. It has a good memory and does not forget people, animals or situations easily which is what makes it such a good watch animal against intruders whether human or animal,” says website sweetishhill.com.
Various other information sites like answers.com and quora.com also report that geese are intelligent enough to recognize and remember not only people in general, but specific individuals. One guy even posted a video called, “You should be as smart as a Goose,” telling all about how smart they are.
So it should not be surprising when we see this wonderful video of a woman and her goose friend. I love the interaction and companionship it shows and think you’ll find it heartwarming to watch.
