When you think of ballet, you probably think of lean and pretty Ballerinas in pink leaping around the room. Although this art form looks very elegant, it is very physically demanding. It takes a lot of effort and practice to look so graceful.
But there is a force that has been sweeping over the ballet world and her name is Milena Sidorova. Milena is a Dutch choreographer and professional ballet dancer. She is known for her fusion of innovative ideas into ballet. This fantastic dancer has conceptualized over 20 unique choreographies. Many of which have been internationally applauded.
However, this act, known as “The Spider,” holds a special place in her heart. It has over 17 million views on YouTube! Dressed in black, Milena stays flat on the ground after the curtains open. She looks exactly like a spider! The resemblance is uncanny as she dances mimicking a deadly arachnid.
Moreover, the way she scales a wall like the silk-weaving insect is hilarious! The way Milena captures the story of a spider into a tasteful dance is brilliant.
