Neapolitan Mastiffs are one of the most stunning breeds of dogs in the planet. The video below features one of them. But Willow was born a little different than most of her brethren.
When she was delivered, she suffered from a condition called the Swimmer’s Syndrome. Her chest was flat and her limbs are splayed out to the side and unusable, like a swimming turtle. Her breeder thought she was a burden, so he posted that he wanted to throw her out on social media.
The breeder’s message was repeatedly shared. When The 2nd Chances Rescue in California heard about it, they immediately took her in. They bound her chest in order to stop it from getting flatter. With a lot of time and patience, they also managed to heal Willow’s spine. She started walking and swimming like a normal dog would!
This video shows her when she was around 8 months old! Isn’t she gorgeous? Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
