The Voice gets its fair share of incredible contestants. The blind audition system in the show is wonderful, as judges are made to judge the contestants based only on their voice rather than appearance. One such contestant, Harrison Craig, also came on the show to try his luck. He wowed the judges from the very first audition itself, and there was no going back for him.
Craig also had a very touching story to go along with his amazing voice. He had stuttered all his life, and had a hard time speaking properly. But music had become a refuge for him, because he never stuttered when he sang. For the performance in the following video, he chose to sing the classic song “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers.
The song was released in 1965 by the Righteous Brothers. It was originally written back in 1955, but the Righteous Brothers made it their own with their rendition. The song now has 1,500 renditions and has been covered by over 670 artists from all around the world. Craig did a fantastic job of covering the song. The audience couldn’t stop their applause when he hit that final high note!
