Except for her wobbly legs and her body defying standard horse senses, Jazz, the mini horse, showed no sign of pregnancy. But Linda, Jazz’s owner knew that she was pregnant. So, she took care of her as needed. However, Linda and her husband Jim were completely baffled when Jazz gave birth to a foal.
Since both her dad and mom were mini horses, Linda and Jim knew that Jazz’s baby would be born smaller than average. But, they were not expecting the foal to be this small. They named her appropriately: Itty Bitty Hope. The called her “Hope” for short.
Hope tied the world record for the smallest horse ever born with a weight of just 13 pounds at birth. Although Hope was born small, she is said to have a very bright future. Linda wishes to train Hope to be a therapy animal in her non-profit organization Mini Hooves of Love.
