A lot of people complain about the next generation: they’re too lazy, or too entitled, or think everything should be handed to them. Regardless of whether or not that’s true, it usually takes something to shake them loose from the status quo in order to get them to believe any of that is true.
Well here’s a video of a man who has formed an organization dedicated to exactly that premise: he’s going to be the reason young people turn their life around.
But no matter how noble your cause, there are people who may not want to listen–at least at first. This motivational speaker, Eric Thomas who goes by The Hip Hop Preacher, had to face that when he volunteered to go talk to a group of disadvantaged high school students.
When some students were being disrespectful his speech, the motivational speaker decided to call them out on their behavior. His lines will surely remain in their hearts for a lifetime. And it’s probably that a great many other students learned from this episode too.
