If you enjoy the old school movies as I do, then you are well-aware of the 70s band, “Journey.” In their second single album, they recorded the greatest power ballad ever. The song named “Faithfully.”
A teenager excels in one of the difficult songs during his high school talent show.
Jonathan O’Neal performed one of the legendary hits of Journey during a talent fest. The way he manages to stay on the original key, B-major is very impressive. Although he may not have a rockstar tone to his voice yet, he surely made Steve Perry proud.
Jonathan Cain, the band’s keyboard player wrote the song on their tour bus headed to Saratoga Springs, New York. Cain began jotting down his lyrics with “highway run into the midnight sun” on a napkin. The line “we all need the clowns to make us smile” is a tribute to the band’s road manager Pat Morrow and stage manager, Benny Collins.
Jonathan O’Neal not only has an outstanding voice but an amazing high range reach, considering he was still in high school.
Please press play and enjoy. Don’t forget to show some love for the energetic singer on the feed.
If you enjoy the marvelous performance, kindly share it with your loved ones.
