As I’ve said before, I love watching these tap-dancing brothers because they are great dancers and they usually film in Ireland. And there’s another reason I love this video: the song.
The Gardiner Brothers are an Irish/American professional dance duo who were born in Denver, Colorado, but now live in Galway, Ireland. Michael (age 27) and Matthew (age 25) are five-time Irish Dance World Championship winners and both members of the Riverdance cast. They are also social media stars on multiple platforms with over 350 million total views.
And while the brothers may be famous, they are nowhere near as famous as the song: Queen’s “Another Bites the Dust.” The 1980 anthem sold over 7 million copies and was ranked at number 34 on Billboard’s All-Time Top Songs. It’s Queen’s biggest seller–more than “Bohemian Rhapsody”–and has been used in movies, TV commercials and sporting events.
