Here’s an older audition video that’s worth reposting because this young teen is so incredibly good.
Age can matter when a person is going to a new field to show his or her talent. Most people assume that talent and performance level depends on a person’s age. However, this is a wrong mentality and many talented people tend to prove it wrong.
In 2010, a 14-year-old Olivia Archbold took the stage of Britain’s Got Talent and her performance left a mark on the judges more than any young performer of her age. The judges were pretty doubtful about how this girl might perform. The teen came on the stage with her jeans and T-shirt and no one was willing to believe that this teenager was a performer.
But, the crowd along with the judges were shocked once she started singing a cover of Sarah McLachlan’s “Arms of an Angel”. What an angelic voice Olivia has! Even Simon Cowell could not hide his emotions towards her voice. Even the blunt judge kept muttering “Wow” to himself. Olivia got the best compliments from all the judges.
Although her appearance and age made the judges think twice, she proves that talent has no age and no need to look a certain way either. Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
