Meet Miami Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat. This particular court session by him has gone immensely viral on the internet. He was reviewing Penelope Soto’s case, a teenager caught in possession of Xanax. He was going to explain to her the consequences of her actions, but she made matters worse. Her haughty words and her flippant actions were not appreciated. So when the Judge did not receive the level of respect he deserved, he made it clear who was in charge.
As soon as the 18-year-old stepped up to the stand, it was clear that she wasn’t taking the case seriously. With her arms crossed and a smirk on her face, she was already starting on the wrong foot. When the Judge starts questioning her actions, she brushes him off with a giggle. And unluckily for her, this was the worst place to be snickering carelessly as the way she did. Yet she continued making a joke of the situation.
The Judge was angry to say the least. So he decided to give her an idea of how serious the whole thing was. Her punishment had hefty consequences, but then the man instantly doubled it in severity. But instead of apologizing, she flipped him off.
