Meet Poodle Roo. This little rooster lives at Apricot Lane Farms in California. Poodle Roo has a very unusual ritual when night time comes around. His owners were very surprised when they first noticed this. While all the roosters would return to the coop, Poodle Roo would stay out in the fields.
Poodle Roo is blind and deaf, and there are many things that can harm such a helpless creature, especially at night. But Poodle Roo still left for the dangerous fields nonetheless. To figure out what was going on, Apricot Lane Farms hired a a filmmaker named John Chester. They told him to document their rooster’s strange behavior. You are going to be shocked and heartbroken when you see what they discovered next!
This short film debuted as a part of Oprah’s “Super Soul Sunday”, earning Poodle Roo the title of the “Rising Strong Rooster.” His story is going to leave you in tears for sure! But what a great story it is!
