The video below shares with a very rare natural phenomenon called the “Rain Bomb”. Some of you might have heard about it before; if you haven’t, this is going to leave you out of words! This time-lapse clip features a beautiful moment that is sure to take your breath right out of your lungs. Brian Snyder lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona as a full-time videographer. He managed to film it all on his camera, and now it has gone viral. You will be speechless when you see what he managed to capture.
Just before a huge storm was about to roll through, Snyder went up a mountainside in Tucson, Arizona and set up his device. But his camera caught more than what he had bargained for. Brian thought he would get thrilling footage of the city getting pummeled by the monsoon rain, but when he checked it, later on, he realized that his camera had recorded a rare “wet microburst” or “rain bomb” instead. It is stunning to watch!
Wet microbursts happen when a cooled column of air sinks rapidly through the middle of a thunderstorm. The unique storm phenomenon affects an area of no more than two and a half miles and can generate winds of over 150 mph. It is not very frequent, so it can be exciting when captured on film.
