Wedding dances have been a part of human culture for thousands of years, and the history of wedding dances can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as the Greeks and the Egyptians. In these societies, dancing was seen as a way to celebrate joyous occasions, and weddings were no exception. Traditional wedding dances were often performed in a circle, with the bride and groom at the center.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, wedding dances became more formalized and structured, and the waltz became a popular dance at weddings. The waltz was considered scandalous at the time because it involved close physical contact between partners, but it soon became a staple of wedding receptions.
In today’s world, the waltz is considered almost too tame, but people still do it. Like this wonderful couple in Poland. They chose a phenomenal song called “Cry to Me,“ a bluesy and soulful tune released in 1962 by Solomon Burke. It’s been covered plenty of times because it’s such a great tune. And it’s perfect for this classy, sophisticated wedding waltz.
According to comments, the couple practiced many hours to perfect this wonderful dance. Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
