Here’s a video about a group of selfless men who stepped up when a bereaved mother was unable to attend her son’s funeral or make arrangements for him to be brought home from California to his native Georgia.
The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) is a non-profit that, according to Wikipedia, “forms a voluntary honor guard at military burials, helps protect mourners from harassment and fills out the ranks at burials of indigent and homeless veterans. In addition to attending funerals, the group also greets troops returning from overseas at homecoming celebrations and performs volunteer work for veteran’s organizations such as Veterans Homes.”
When PGR learned about Staff Sgt. Jonathan Turner, they just knew that they had to help the brave late marine.
When the marine passed away, even his family was not able to attend his funeral and it is quite sad to know that such a thing can happen due to rough circumstances. ” The California PGR contacted all of the state captains from California to Georgia and explained the situation, that it wasn’t proper to ship this war hero home via FedEx,” Jeff Goodiel of the Georgia Patriot Guard Riders says.
The only right thing there was, was to return all the stuff of the marine to his family at the hands of the bikers. Watch the full video below!
