I love to listen to country music. It always puts a smile on my face. Sometimes the lyrics could be a bit depressing, revolving around heartbreak and what not. But the way they were performed is unrivaled even today! They were some good times for sure!
Women in country music have been some of my favorites. Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and who could forget the great Patsy Cline. Patsy Cline went on the “Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts” stage in 1957, and the performance below raised her popularity on a massive scale. Cline was not a huge fan of “Walkin’ After Midnight” when she recorded it earlier that year. But the audience thought otherwise. She won the competition and was even invited back for more appearances.
Watch her performance below and don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section!
