Ballet is one of the most beautiful dances in the world. Moreover, this traditional dance form has been around for quite some time. However, the way the ballerina’s express their art never ceases to amaze me! But this particular ballet routine is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Assuredly, it will brighten up your day!
When you think of ballet, I’m sure pretty pink tutus and classical music come to mind. But this ballet team from the London-based Contraband Entertainment brings a modern twist to the classical dance. Although the dancers are classically trained, they are an expert at fusing it with more contemporary styles. And the result is mesmerizing!
As the video begins, you see figures of women and some colorful lights. Then, as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” from The Nutcracker plays, three lit-up ballerinas are dancing sitting down. These are the LED ballerinas who dance in the dark! Moreover, the song transforms into an upbeat remix. And so do the dancers, who start moving like robotic fairies.
