Basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith, a physical education teacher at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts. He wanted to create a game that could be played indoors during the cold winter months. The original game was played with a peach basket and a soccer ball. Over time, the peach basket was replaced with a metal hoop and a rubber ball and it’s now often played outside.
Basketball is known as a tall person’s game. Most short people quit when they are young, knowing they’ll never make it. But face it, we all like an underdog story, even when it’s a set-up. And here’s a fun clip that shows some tall outdoor basketball players get their comeuppance.
Grayson “The Professor” Boucher makes a living as a basketball-focused YouTube influencer/personality. Even though this Keizer, Oregon native is only 5’10” tall, his ball handling skills are incredible and he has no problem making shots from nearly anywhere on the court.
This hilarious video shows what happens when The Professor dresses up like a nerd, complete with taped glasses and a backpack, and walks onto the outdoor basketball park in Venice Beach, California. Someone is about to get schooled…
