The first few steps your child takes towards adulthood can be frightful, especially, if your kid suffers from any kind of disorder. But that doesn’t mean we should stop their growth and development. As good parents, we have to let our kids go free sometimes, to get used to new ways of life and branch out on their own.
Alexa Bjornson was pacing back and forth on the thought of her younger son taking the flight alone. Seven-year-old Landon has high-functioning autism. He was taking Southwest Airlines from Las Vegas to Oregon to meet his dad. So, Alexa came up with a plan: she decided to write a note to Landon’s seatmate with $10 tucked in it.
The note read, ” How do I make it so whoever’s sitting next to him won’t look at him as a burden but more of like, I can help this kiddo get through the day.” Thankfully her prayers were heard Landon had an exceptional time with his new buddy, Ben Pedraza.
Apart from asking, “Are we there yet” several times. The two spend amazing hours bonding over selfies. Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
