Miniature horses, also known as mini-horses, are small equines that have captivated the hearts of people around the world. Despite their diminutive size, these adorable creatures possess all the characteristics and charm of their larger counterparts. Originating from Europe, mini-horses were initially bred as pets and companions for European nobility during the 17th century. Over time, their popularity spread, and they became sought-after animals in various parts of the world.
Mini-horses are characterized by their small stature, typically standing between 24 to 38 inches tall at the withers. They exhibit the same body proportions and conformation as full-sized horses, but in a compact package. These gentle creatures have a friendly and docile nature, making them popular choices as therapy animals, especially for individuals with disabilities or emotional challenges.
One of the fascinating aspects of mini-horses is their versatility. Despite their small size, they can be trained to perform many tasks traditionally associated with full-sized horses. They can be taught to pull carts, participate in obstacle courses, and even compete in showmanship and driving events.
And it turns out they can be trained to perform things that humans do, too, like dance! This little guy took to the Git-Up Challenge better than a lot of humans we’ve seen on the internet! Watch the full video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
