Dogs are perhaps the best animals in the world. They are unbelievably loyal to the ones they love, and want nothing but love in return. Sadly, humans have made so many of them suffer needlessly that it’s just heartbreaking. Every day, you come across dogs that have been abandoned, abused or neglected. The internet is full of stories about such dogs, and the one below is no different. It’s about a severely emaciated dog found on the streets.
Lena was found by a kind man on the side of the road. She had been left tied to a garbage can, and this made her unable to look around for food. This had left her extremely emaciated, and she looked like a bag of skin and bones. This must have been a traumatizing experience for her, so she behaved very aggressively towards anybody she saw.
The kind man who found her refused to leave her like that though. Despite being so aggressive, he managed to take her to his shelter. She was really closed up at first, but after gaining her trust, the man was able to nurse her back to health. She started gaining weight and transformed into a very affectionate and loving pooch.
Her rescuer also found her a loving forever home. His unwavering determination to get her back on her feet succeeded, and now Lena is living the life she deserves!
