Lee Collison came all the way from England to the U.S. for America’s Got Talent rather than try the British version back home. Everyone back home, him mom included, were waiting for the call to see if he made it.
When Lee starts Dermot Kennedy’s “Better Days,” it’s not clear from the judges faces what they’re thinking. But as he gets into the melody, his voice becomes clear and bright, the audience jumps in and the judges are smiling.
By the time it’s over the audience and judges are standing and cheering, and the judges all give him great reviews. But the highlight of the audition is when Simon asks if the judges can Facetime his mother to give her the results. The resulting call is funny, heartwarming and definitely worth watching!
