Around the summertime, strawberries are the greatest pleasure. Enjoying these fresh juicy berries is a whole experience that I don’t have to tell you. But refrigerated strawberries don’t nearly have the excitement compared to fresh farm fruits. Even worst when they start rotting inside the fridge. Talk about the audacity.
Don’t worry. We have just the right trick to help tame your berries. So they stay fresh and plumy for your taste. This legit trick comes all the way from the harvesters, aka the ingenious local farmers.
Get ready with the following items.
- container of strawberries
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 3 cups water
- large bowl
- Spaghetti strainer or colander
- Paper towels
Create a solution with three cups of water to one cup vinegar ratio. Add your strawberries to the potion and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Now rinse the strawberry and pat it dry before moving on to the next step. Once they are dry completely. Please place them in the strainer lined with paper towels. They need to be upright in rows. With this technique, you can store them in the fridge for at least two weeks.
