Josh Groban has one of the most amazing voices in the music industry today. He is an incredible singer, but he is also a man of God. Nominated four times for Grammy, he has lived a life full of fame and success, but he hasn’t let it get to his head. Josh has been able to maintain a clear mind and keep his faith, rather than feeding into the pressure of Hollywood.
Josh performed on stage alone for the first time when he was in the seventh grade. He then started trying out for roles in school musicals during the academic year and attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts Camp in Michigan in the summers. After enrolling and graduating from an art-centric high school in Los Angeles, he was admitted into Carnegie Mellon University as a drama major. Just four months into his studies, he left school for a once-in-a-lifetime recording contract.
As a devout Christian, the man wants to remain wholesome, while also appealing to fans across the social spectrum. That’s why when he was asked onto the Jenny McCarthy show, he didn’t hold back from sticking up for his beliefs. Josh took one look at the list of questions Jenny prepared for him and knew that the interview wasn’t right for him.
Rather than answering the questions on camera, he walked off the set and left the interview. He believes he doesn’t need the attention from an outrageous interview to gain a bigger fan base, he just has to stay true to God. That is why he also likes to keep his love life private. And when he is dating, Josh says that his love knows no bounds.’
“If I’m in a relationship, I’ll go to the ends of the earth. If I’m on the road and we have a conversation, and she says, ‘God, I really wish I was there with you right now,’ I’ll hang up the phone, send a car, and have the plane ready.”
Unfortunately, dating is often overlooked when it comes to his career. He has appeared in television and major motion pictures, but he says that singing is, and will forever be, his true passion. “When it comes to the acting stuff, I like to show up for a couple days and kind of be outrageous and silly, and go back to my day job.”
