Time and again, we are reminded just how amazing creatures dogs are. They are our best companions and want nothing more than to see us happy. They love spending time with us and crack us up with their hilarious antics. Sometimes, you can’t help but wonder what you did to deserve these angels. And sometimes, they prove that they can even be the unlikeliest guardian angels in the world.
If you’re still unsure about that, just look at the pooch in the following video. This is the story about a German Shepherd named Maxx. Dogs are generally very protective and loyal, but Maxx showed just how amazing they can be in the toughest of times. When his house caught on fire, Maxx immediately went into rescue mode. With two small children in the house, there was no time to waste.
Emergency operators got a call about a house on fire. A military veteran’s house was totally engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly got to the scene and helped get the veteran and his wife out. But they credited Maxx for being the hero of the day. He led them through the thick smoke towards the two kids in the house. The family was then rushed for treatment while Maxx was also taken to the vet. What an angel!
