There are several dog breeds that love being in the water, including Labrador Retrievers, Portuguese Water Dogs, Newfoundlands, Irish Water Spaniels, American Water Spaniels, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and Standard Poodles.
These breeds are known for their strong swimming abilities and are often seen in activities like dock jumping and water retrieving. All of these breeds enjoy spending time in the water and make excellent companions for swimming or playing fetch in a lake or pool.
There are also dog breeds that are not fans of water, such as bulldogs, greyhounds, and basset hounds. These breeds typically have shorter snouts and legs, which makes it difficult for them to paddle or propel themselves through the water. Additionally, their coats are not water resistant, making them more susceptible to cold temperatures.
