Companionships are what make life fun and exciting! Unfortunately, I don’t have as many friends as I used to when I was a kid. As you become an adult, you have responsibilities and your own family to take care of. So, friends have to take a backseat. Not for these two ladies!
They were only 11 years old when Kathleen Saville and Olive Woodward met. This was during the year 1941, which means that they have been friends for 80 years! These ladies have set the definition of Best Friends Forever. What’s crazy is that, after all these years, they still wanted to be together and moved in the same care facility!
The two older women from England first met when they sat next to each other in class at Ravenshead School in Nottingham. They instantly hit it off and were inseparable. Maybe their friendship blossomed because they lived down the down to each other. However, it was fate that both of them married men working at Coal Board, the same company, and thus lived nearby.
