“Young@Heart” is an entertainment group created by and for senior citizens. At present, it comprises of people of at least 70 years of age. The video below features one of their most beautiful performances ever! It is taken from a documentary film by the same name “Young@Heart”, which focuses on this New England chorus of awesome elderly people. The group sings classics, and contemporary rock and pop songs as well.
In this clip, 80-year-old Fred Knittle, a member of the group, performs Coldplay’s “Fix You” for a concert in their hometown of Northampton, Massachusetts. He is backed up by his teammates. Fred never was trained as a singer, but when you hear him, you will get chills. His voice is beautiful! He had been the vice president of development for the Clarke School for the Deaf and he managed to raise more than $22 million for the school. Sadly, he is no longer with us.
