There are a lot of videos on the internet showing dog and cat friendships–I know, I’ve posted a lot of articles about them and they are always well received. Well here’s a video short that’s just a little different.
In this video, we come upon a cat that’s apparently fallen into a deep water fountain and has managed to find something to stand on that keeps its head above water but it’s still clearly in trouble. The cat looks tired and is far too short to be able to climb out. That’s when a couple of dogs come by and spot the cat.
One dog leans down and the cat, thinking the dog has ill intent, swats the dog away. But the dog knows his stuff and figures there’s no way the cat is going to get out by himself, so he dives into the water like a lifeguard.
What happens next is every bit as unexpected as it is heartwarming–what a beautiful moment that someone captured on their phone. Watch the video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
