The dog featured in the video below is called Star. She was shot in the head 40 times by her owner, before he buried her alive. He did it in such a way that only her nose could be soon. Thankfully, animal welfare officers managed to save the pooch before it was too late for her. Even after all she had been through, Star couldn’t help but wag her tail when she realized she was being rescued.
Star’s former owner, Alfred Vella, faced charges of animal cruelty. He confessed to shooting his dog. He says he did it because she was getting old. What a disgusting monster. He got three months in prison and has been ordered to pay €10,000, or $11,300.
