This is a beautiful video with so much raw emotion that it’s hard not to cry while you watch it, even though you don’t know anyone involved. And even through my tears, I loved it and I hope you do too.
A father is one of the most important parts in a child’s life. For a daughter, he is the first guy she ever loved. And for a father, she is always going to be his little princess. So when a dad has to “give his princess away”, it can be hard – very hard. We don’t seem to realize it, but this gesture is remarkable indeed.
This dad had trouble explaining his daughter how much she meant to him. So he did something very lovable. Nicole Cortez posted this video showing her dad singing “I Loved Her First” by Heartland.
Nicole is a sign language interpreter so imagine her surprise when she found out that her dad had learned sign language for this amazing performance. She said it took him the entire year she was engaged to learn the song.
