The video below shows a man named Craig Loving saving a Great Horned Owl that had somehow gotten himself stuck near the 1st tee box at the Lost Creek Country Club in Austin, Texas. The poor bird had been spotted sitting in the same spot for more than 12 hours, before employees finally realized that he was actually trapped there.
The owl was wrapped up in fishing line and could not fly. Luckily, he had found himself a perch that enabled him to remain just out of water.
Craig move toward the bird very slowly with a pair of pliers. He noticed that the owl’s wing was completely wrapped in fishing line. After cutting it, the man unwrapped it from his wing.
The owl was free, but he was too tired to move. “He kept slamming his beak down…but I kind of talked to it a little bit,” said Craig. “So we got a shovel and took the shovel handle and used it as a perch, then I walked him out of there.” Check out the video below and share what you thought about it in the comments!
