But in terms of dog breeds, the German Shepherd is one of the most popular breeds of all. They are said to be the third most intelligent breed among dogs, and they have the proof to show for it!
German Shepherds are touted as smart dogs, and not without reason. They can learn new commands within only five repetitions of the word, and all it takes is positive reinforcement, treats and enthusiasm. This quick response and alertness is why they are one of the most prioritized breeds for military or security service. The following video shows one German Shepherd called Lexus, and he shows just how good they are at tricks.
Lexus is quite the talented dog. For this video, he does all sorts of tricks and makes it look so easy. Balancing himself against a wall, standing on his hind legs, sorting out his toys—it’s all child’s play for this pooch. This sporty dog doesn’t break a sweat while pouncing around his trainer and performing all these tricks. It must have taken quite some time to teach him all this, but the end result is phenomenal!
