Rescuing animals is a very rewarding experience. Just ask Jenny! She and her husband run the Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue in West Africa. They house the most adorable chimps and make sure they are safe and cared for. One day while driving in the streets of Liberia, Jenny Desmond found a furry little friend in bad shape.
It wasn’t a chimpanzee, but a little pup riddled with infections, worms and looked very hungry. So, she picked the puppy up and took it in. The couple gave Snafu the medical attention she needed to get well. However, the puppy was still in critical condition. That’s when she met the other members of the sanctuary. The chimps there loved Snafu. They cuddled with her and cared for her like she was their own kind.
Due to all the love she received, Snafu’s health came back in a matter of weeks. She looks adorable playing with her family of chimps! Now, the only thing left to do was to find Snafu a forever home. She has found a loving family in Colorado with Jenny’s nieces.
