A mother’s love is said to be one of the strongest things in the world. Being a mother totally changes the individual. She is willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her young one. She can happily take a bullet for her child. Another strange but amazing thing about motherhood is how maternal instincts can overcome even the most deeply set instinct.
For instance, you might have seen or heard of many stories on the internet of cats and dogs adopting animals of another species. Their maternal instincts tell them to totally ignore their usual nature and care for other species’ babies too. Cats and dogs are said to be the biggest enemies, but sometimes, they can end up caring for each other too!
The following video shows this phenomenon in action. A tiny puppy was abandoned by his mother. He was crying for help, and his cries reached a very concerned cat, who herself had just given birth to a litter of kittens. Her maternal instincts were so strong, the cat took the puppy under her wing and started caring for him like one of her own. No matter how many times you see this happen, you can’t help but be in awe by this miracle!
