It is always hard to live with a disease or rare conditions. What makes things worse is the fact that people are not always nice to those who are not like them.
This makes many sick people feel left out and anxious. Things go bad mostly when you are a little child in this cruel world. Not only do kids fear other children bullying and hurting them, but there are also some adults who act badly toward sick or weak children. This was the reason why little Owen Hawkins was very conscious of himself and feared living like a normal kid due to his Schwartz-Jampel syndrome.
But things changed for Owen when he met a dog with only three legs. They named him Haatchi. “The day that Owen met Haatchi…there was just like a communication between them only they will ever understand,” said Owen’s mother.
