The life of a stray dog is really hard to fathom. You can never imagine what life is out there. I am here sitting on my comfy IKEA chair, sipping a coffee and writing about it. But even if I had to go through it, I wouldn’t last a day. Allow me to paint you a picture.
Your stomach grumbles awaken you in the middle of the night. You wait for any human to show remorse and spare you some food. With no other options, you begin your search for anything that looks like food.
Dodging traffic, avoiding barks and hisses from groomed-up pets who appear to be a better version of you, finally find a can. A garbage can full of nasty rotten food and, at long last, you’ll have something to eat. That is, only if a human thinks you’re too filthy to be in their alley and chases you down like you’re nothing more than dirt on their white shirt.
No, I am not making this up. This is the story of the dog in the video. A blind street dog was chased deep into the brambles, where she was unable to find her way out. She’d been trapped for two days with no food or water. Animal Aid’s team rescued her and returned her to a life-long sanctuary.
