French Bulldogs, also known as Frenchies, are a delightful and popular dog breed that originated in France. Despite their name, they actually trace their ancestry back to the English bulldogs, which were brought to France by lace workers in the mid-1800s. Over time, the breed was refined and developed into the French Bulldog we know today.
French Bulldogs are characterized by their distinctive bat-like ears, muscular build, and compact size. They have a charming and affectionate nature, often seeking close companionship with their owners. Frenchies are known for their playful and adaptable personalities, making them great companions for individuals and families alike. And if you lose a great companion it hurts! This family from Manhattan had that painful experience when their dog ran away from the dogsitter while they were away in Florida.
The family and their friends searched for little Bella for a long time–the owner even missed work for two days searching for her. They printed and posted flyers, activated a doggie amber alert and even called local shelters in hopes of finding her.
Finally, they got a call from Queens, which is a fair distance from Manhattan, that Bella had been found! The owner says that he never lost hope and was overjoyed to see her again. Watch the touching video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
