As kids most of us were overjoyed when we’d look outside and see the first snow–all that potential adventure and fun, just waiting for us! It turns out some animals are the same way.
This video was shot at the 64-acre Oregon Zoo in Portand, Oregon, and while snow is not rare, it’s not as common as it is in some of the more mountainous regions of the state. The zoo was undergoing renovations when this video was shot but it doesn’t appear that the animals in these clips care at all.
We catch a glimpse of a variety of animals getting out into the white powder. First, the polar bear Nora enjoys her playtime in the snow, tumbling and frolicking about. Sea otters and harbor seals swim in the ice-cold water with a smile. And Samundra the Asian elephant seems overjoyed her first run of the year through the snow.
