There are so many talent shows on TV these days it’s hard to know which ones are really worth your time. I know I’ve watched hundreds of performances and, if nothing else, I know when I see a good one. And this one is really good.
Alexander Eder was competing on The Voice Germany and chose Josh Turner’s “Your Man” as his audition song. In an unusual twist, the German version of the show had Alexander singing behind a curtain, so no one knew how old he was. When he announced he was only 19, the judges couldn’t believe it!
Alexander moved forward from the auditions to the sing-offs, where he chose the iconic song from Johnny Cash, “Ring of Fire.” (Most people don’t know that he didn’t write the song–it was actually co-written by June Carter, who would eventually become Johnny’s second wife.)
