Even though people’s hair grow about six inches (15 cm) per year on average, there are a lot of us who get emotionally attached to it. I may not be the only one whose heart pinches when my hairdresser snaps a small chunk off of my hair.
I am not sure why we are so attached to it. But seeing it snip away makes me want to cry. It’s as if a piece of me has been severed and will never reattach. Maybe it’s just the permanence of it, but whatever it is I just don’t like it.
This girl felt the same way. She’s been taking care of her hair for a long time. 20 years to be precise. She never cut, trimmed, or styled her hair. It wasn’t even combed. And, after more than two decades, she finally decided to go to the hairdresser and get rid of the weight on her head.
She was accustomed to carrying her hair around and receiving compliments on it. She has to be a real-life Rapunzel. Then, after the haircut, she is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
